In the last 12 months I put only 2500 miles on my 2016 Toyota, it only has 40k miles total.

Can I keep delaying the oil change?

    You should get it done.
    1. There are other reasons to change oil like moisture buildup and byproducts from that which get worse as you drive the car less.
    2. As incompetent as most oil change places are, it’s still an excuse to have someone more skilled than you look your car over once per year.
Check your tire pressure while you’re at it.

  • 1 year or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first is my guideline. Just go get it changed.
