I know this sort of thing happens a lot, but I wanted some opinions on how to handle this. I gave my two week notice at my company and have signed with a new company. A couple days later, my CEO reaches out to me: he says I should reconsider staying: insists that we are around the corner from raising again and he’s more than happy to adjust my compensation.

Again, I’ve already signed with the other company, but curious what others think.

Current TC: 240K
New TC: 320K

Also, pointing out, if we do raise another round, my TC will naturally go up quite a bit.

In lot of such cases, the leadership is just buying time. Once they have found a replacement you would be discarded. If you were truly valued, you would been given increased compensation earlier.

Are you leaving just for the money? Are they countering more? If they are and you only care about money, stay if not leave.
