Opinion | New Leadership Has Not Changed Uber
comments
Ride-sharing over car ownership any day.
But I wonder what the true cost of an Uber ride is. Sometimes I get Lyft line rides for as low as $2.50. That's literally cheaper than taking the bus.
On the other hand I've already given up relying on Uber/Lyft because of their ridiculous surge pricing that sometimes go as high at 15x. So no, ride sharing will not reduce car ownership a lot. It does make it easier to get around without a car when the price is right.
