I invested around $7000 using Acrons back in summer of 2018 just to try it out. Since then my investment has become $10,800 and I have paid $40 in subscription fees at $1/month.

Now they are increasing their minimum subscription fee to $3/month… I am contemplating if that is worth it?

Yeah, that's what it says but doesn't ask to you provide anything to support it. Lol

I am using it since 2015 and absolutely love it for the lowest management fee for the automation it provides. $3 is still a good deal because it comes with Acorns spend account that you can use to direct deposit your paychecks and automatically divert chosen percentage (I do 100%) to the investment account. It is also the only robo investor that I am aware (I use Betterment and Wealthfront) that has daily recurring investment. Most have weekly/monthly/biweekly. Overall I think there’s no good alternative out there where you get completely passive investment management by paying $36 a year flat fee. Most charge 0.25+% of portfolio balance.

No, why not just buy spy on robinhood for free. You could use td ameritrade but no fractional shares
