Im leaving Amazon for FB at end of year. I also just recently passed the goog HC and am stuck in team matching right now. Does anyone know if being overemployed at the FAANG companies can actually get you in trouble? I heard people do this at smaller places where you can get away with slacking?
Thinking of working remotely from East Coast with AMZN without telling Goog/FB in west coast office. This way I can stretch out the work day by like 3 hours. My plan was to put in my work calendars times taken up ahead of time so that I can slot in other meetings from other companies without overlap. I was going to claim personal/family issues whenever I need to travel from East coast to West Coast and vice versa when I need to be in the office.
Can I actually get in legal issues here even if the jobs have no overlap in terms of anything confidential I may work on?
Will other companies fire me and notify the others if they find out? I'm thinking if I can last a year at my least favorite/worst WLB job I can at least milk the signing bonus and maybe even get severance. I have a few friends who may also be able to cover for me in videos If i need to attend multiple calls at once. Since im non-white most of my managers are probably going to be white and not be able to tell us apart anyways speaking from experience.
I also have a couple of tricks up my sleeves such as claiming to be unvaccinated at some jobs so maybe I can get cut some slack or even better be put on paid leave.
I have a coworker that currently does with two companies (AMZN, MSFT) and was wondering if maybe this was alot more common then I thought with everyone WFH now.
Also if I somehow survive for a few years my resume will be stacked. Maybe I can actually be qualified for those 10+ experience with Go-lang jobs.
Blinders please help my current TC sucks and I dont wanna end up poor since I dont work for Albertsons. I dont want to dissapoint my parents any further and would like to actually retire on time before I hit 30.
Current TC 270k. L5 AMZN

Not to mention you will be on every black list from here to Oracle
And if they do sue / take you to arbitration they have to show actual damages. If you did your job well, and it's proven through your ratings, there's no damage. As for IP theft, it can't be speculative - they need some evidence.
Why would you think every company would blacklist you?
