My friend(ex-collegue) got PIPed from Salesforce 2 years back, does Salesforce hire him back ?

My friend and ex-collegue got PIPed from Salesforce 2 years back and has been working as developer in another good reputed company since then. He is now looking for job change and he saw a position for SMTS (he has almost all required things in his resume). Question is

1)will the Recruiter know that he got PIPed (because he/she will definitely ask why he left the job) and if recruoter won’t know that he got PIPed in that cas should my friend told him he got PIPed or not?

2) what is the policy of Saleforce for ex-PIPed employees ?

Thanks

  • It’s nearly impossible to get fired here. How did he get PIP’d?

    Go to company page Oracle

Hiring manager should be able to see his prior ratings. From there it’s all fair game. -18 months is amazingly short. Unless hiring manager is paying a debt, I do not see how this can happen..

    • Got a little confused.
So do you mean once resume is submitted and goes to HM, its on him/her to decide to go forward or not since he/she could see the ratings ?
Also, the guy was AMTS when he got PIPed but was in Salesforce for around 1.4 years but how can 2 years old ratings can be deciding factor on what he knows currently (unless he had some character issues (which i think wasn’t the case ))
