These experiences are the reason I would prefer to stay in India, rather than be a second class citizen abroad. High paying jobs are becoming increasingly available in India anyways.
I am not going to argue here, but all I am going to say is, if you like your current lifestyle and how things are let them be and enjoy life, if you don't like how things are then take a step towards a major change. Good luck to everyone on both sides of the aisle.
This is common. I once had lunch at Jean-Georges NYC (Trump "orangeman's" hotel) and there were Asians in my group. Restaurant wasn't too full and everyone at the restaurant was seated by the windows looking at central park. My group was completely separated from all the other guests and were were stuffed into a small table by the kitchen and bathroom doors on the opposite side of the dining room. It doesn't get more obvious than that. I doubt the hostess was responsible as she was probably trained to do this by management. I've also experienced a similar incident at a posh restaurant in Martha's Vineyard.
Life’s what you make of it. Racism is deeply embedded in American culture and society. You can let it bother you or you can be honest with yourself, take stock of your strengths, double down on them and try best to navigate life knowing fully well that this isn’t an even playing field.
This is also why I don’t care for LCOL cities in America since those are typically places that skew conservative and not welcoming of non-whites.
