Apple in Raleigh/RTP (North Carolina)
I do see Apple has started hiring in RTP area for their new campus. Any idea how is the comp at Apple Raleigh compared to Bay Area and Seattle? TC: ~455, L6

Same as the Austin campus, as with Google. Certainly not 455 for an L6, that would be a massive waste of money for them to pay that here. You could pay half that and still come out way ahead with our COL and tax benefits.
Agree!! The salaries are even well below Austin. But as Shadowperson said, you can live great in Raleigh on a fraction of that TC.
I know a few folks at Apple/Google Durham, the bands are basically the same as what they are in Austin, esp Apple. Google Austin has more business ops and less eng so hard to get a lot of data there
I was offered a role at Austin location but I live in RTP area. Can I ask if I can work from Raleigh?
Probably tbh but Apples gonna Apple so if thereās a company that wouldnāt for some dumb reason it would be them
