they wont just tell you a price π i dont want to be hot housed by some sales rep i literally want to know if its in budget. does anbody know?
3 bucks a gig.
Idk pricing but if you reach out on the chat I think they have real people behind it?
Iβll try again tomorrow
Yeah getting to talk to someone in sales should be super easy. Usually the sales people are trying to call you.
It depends on capacity - and note that X10 has a relatively low max capacity before you need to upgrade to X20 or higher. How big of a system do you need? But anyway above you said you can budget $100K - X10 starts well below that.
Google "pure storage price list". All the big vendors have to release a public one any time they bid for a government project.
Typically the price lists shared due to public sector requirements give list price. And in the storage industry for whatever reason discounts over 50% are common. So don't get scared by what you see in a price list on the web. Also companies try to obfuscate the price list by breaking systems down into a bunch of cryptically named line items and then shuffling the items into a scrambled up order in the price list, so you may not even be able to tell what the system you want will cost.
This is my experience. The best I could find with some bullshit obfuscated list for Texas which had such a vast price range for the same capacity that it made it disuseful. We got with your sales guys in the end.
Anytime they hesitate to give a price, it's because it's insanely expensive. Suggest you tag Pure Storage in your post.
But there is also room for negotiation right
For sure. But I can budget for $100kβs not $1mβs. A simple price target would be useful.
