what is the reason for wlb at amazon and microsoft

Is there a reason why there is so much work at amazon compared to microsoft? Is it just that they expect a faster pace? i mean both are big companies and need to get stuff done but why is wlb so much worse at amazon?

I guess that depends on the team you're on. Because I have amazing wlb. I guess it may be the same for MS but I'm not sure.

I see some people say the same about working for some teams in GCP. Seems to be the case for engineers working for cloud infrastructure teams I guess regardless of company.
