I am about to receive an offer with a startup. I have advantage with techstack and learning in startup. but not sure how the compensation part works with start-up yoe 11 years backend engineer current base $165k bonus $25k no stocks with 401k and other good benifits like medical free food ... b series startup verbal offer base $170 k bonus $30 k intial 10000 stocks ( not sure about the value) no 401k , they have medical benifit. but they conveyed they are open for negotiation. intial 10000 stocks is additional money i am getting ... is it worth ... how does it work what all questions should i ask them. thanks in advance
What stage is the startup at? I’d likely price the equity at 0 but that depends on the stage. I’m concerned your offer is too low.
