aced 4.5 interviews out of 5 , what's the possibility of getting through hiring committee? i have strong external recommendations but have changed a few jobs in Last few years.
Questions like this are useless. I know you want to feel better about yourself, but in reality, you don't know how well you actually did on these interviews because self assessment is difficult. If you actually aced 4.5/5 interviews, you would almost certainly get through. But you know that, so why are you asking the question?
Because there seems to be factors beyond interview performance and I am just curious to learn about it. I have more than one fallbacks among FAANG.

No, op is looking for a percentage, such as 60%. Op is wondering how many candidates per 100 who reach hiring committee get there. I just know the answer is not 100% because people have gotten rejected at this stage. So I'm curious too.
Depends on ladder and level. Industry hires are way more likely than school hires, for example.
