stock price has gone below ipo price of $19 though it is still doing better compared to Uber and Lyft. Does company have good outlook internally ? Are people leaving after recent stock drop or is it a good time to get in? They seem to be hiring quite a bit.
Honestly I have zero idea how Pinterest plans to do well.
There Ads revenue seems to be growing well..close to 50% growth.
Pinterest definitely has a niche place in the world but I don't see it because any bigger than what it currently is.
It is one of the great wonders of the world that Pinterest has sommany users that they became a unicorn. Imo it is a very niche market which will only be used by American soccer moms.
Once upon a time, I thought it was a nice tool for making picture lists. Then it's UX went downhill. Not sure how they'd make considerable revenue growth.
Same as Google does through ads?
I don't get your point. Ad brings money. But what brings ad? I can see why and how Google would be attracting ads. I don't see why and how Pinterest will
@rirnf people are definitely frustrated as you’d expect but there’s still a really high level of belief in the company. I haven’t noticed an exodus on the eng side, but there’s also only been one trading window for employees since the lockup ended, so who knows what will happen if the stock price stays low through a few more.

Their international revenue is not ramped up yet. So I think they still have more to grow.
How did you reach that conclusion by their high pay?
If they dont trust their trajectory, they wont be hiring.
