I haven’t done shit today!
Well most place like LinkedIn google do have breakfast, dinner and snacks too . Know that’s too much to ask was just curious but your math is right but I just shared my food budget and was exploring some cuts here via employer offering meals
It varies per company in quality, cost, and benefit. This question is too open-ended.
It’s a nice perk, but i can’t recommend factoring this into any kind of meaningful decision. If free lunch becomes the true differentiator you are in a great spot. But to structure your search around it?
No it’s also one of the factor in making a call on who you go with unless everyone else is offering crazy salaries.
Also look up intermittently fasting for even more savings
Lol if I am hungry I eat else I don’t.
^^ added benefit of being able to schedule meetings during lunch hours
We have 3 free meals on weekdays, plus the usual snack and frozen items always available. It’s not fantastic, but it is decent, and easy.
And interestingly no one has asked OP's current TC and new TC ( * leaves room in silence * )
There are plenty of companies that don't offer free food, but do subsidize some of the costs and have good quality cafeterias on premise. Honestly, some days I'd be happy to pay for better food.
How does lunch alone being $500-$800? Considering an avg $15 lunch (avg is $10, but I'm sticking to the higher end), 20 work days a month adds up to $300 for lunch.
How about weekends? Still 450. OP must be doing 3 course meal!!!!!
I was considering free meal would only be available on a workday. I would definitely go to office on a weekend at 12, have lunch and have dinner at 5 and come back if there are free meals on weekends 😀
