I use the Kindle app on both Mac / iPad and the experience is subpar on both. Like actually atrocious, page snapping, broken scrolling, the default keybind for changing pages is comically bad, etc.
my question is: why? I think I heard somewhere the apps are so bad is because Apple has patents on the scrolling and smooth page transitions but is that really true?
can some leadership at Amazon please look into this? I dread buying books on Kindle because of the poor reading experience.

The Mac one is crusty, but the iPad?
Really?
What do you compare it to?
