why are folks against taking a vaccine? i don’t understand the thought process behind it. why can’t truckers just take a vaccine and go on with their business. the amount of time it takes to protest, may be they can do something useful, learn a new skill, hit the gym.

Why do you think someone would be against mandates?

  • The number of truckers and others vaccinated still protesting because authoritarianism (whether communism or fascism) is always bad might surprise you.

    • It's actually the folks like you that are already on the wrong side of history.

Our ancestors would have killed for a vaccine that meant they didn't have half of their dozen kids dead before adulthood from preventable diseases like smallpox.

Mandates are entirely your own fault too btw. The rest of us got vaccinated but y'all are ruining it for the rest of us.

If our vaxx uptake were higher then there would be nothing to mandate at all.

You guys didn't wanna lock down, you didn't wanna distance, you didn't wanna wear masks, you didn't wanna get the vaccine.

History will look back on the colossal failure of how we handled COVID and be completely dumbfounded that so many people willingly died a painful death because certain (vaccinated) politicians spread propaganda about COVID instead of listen to world class advancements in medicine.

@relativity I don't know anyone in my life that suffered from Covid, I know quite a few still suffering from vax side effects, from mild to serious. Everyone should choose if they want the vaccine, but don't force people to lose their jobs and be on house arrest just cause they don't want to comply with getting a new shot every year and having to scan their QR codes everywhere. This is dangerous and authoritarian, that's what the protests are about.

They’re not all sheep like you and don’t blindly trust their government officials as they shouldn’t.

Being against vaccine != being against vaccine mandate.

    It’s a HUGE difference.
So many people who have taken the vaccine are against the mandate.

I took the vaccines and the boosters as soon as I became eligible. But I’m on fence about the mandate. But even I completely understand the push back against the mandate from the government.

Although conservatives loose me when the protest against a company’s right to institute such mandates. Aren’t conservatives against the govt telling companies what to do?

    • @Cola not true, you can't see pharma for vaccine injury but you can claim compensation from a govt fund created for anyone injured by the vaccine.

I see this misinformation put out by anti vaxxers all the time.

@booking.com exactly, it is the tax payers who will take the hit, not the big pharma. Btw, in some other countries there are not even such funds available - however, big pharma would still enjoy full liability protection.
