we love the woodside area and have been watching a few homes around $1.5-2M and looks like most of them didnt really appreciate the past 10 years, when the home we are in now in Fremont appreciated ~4x’d in the same time frame, smaller home with no personality. dont understand why it doesnt appreciate much in woodside! any thoughts?
It’s haunted
Look at where Bart is going next to find areas which would be appreciate in future
Supply and demand. No one wants to live in Woodside, if they did prices would appreciate. Econ 101.
That’s what I don’t get - it’s close to Palo Alto, MTV etc and BEAUTIFUL. Why isn’t there more demand
It was already too expensive to begin with
The 1.5M houses are in Skylonda or up along Skyline drive, or otherwise not central Woodside/ near 280. Nice but a long ass haul up windy roads.
Think this is the best/most logical answer, thanks!
Crappy school district. Some of woodside share schools with Redwood City. The others are so far out almost half way to half moon bay and they are literally in the middle of nowhere. Not sure if you get much cellular reception there.
Location
I don’t see any cheap houses in Woodside on Redfin. Can you share links to the listings?
