Got fired from last job.
Saw it coming quickly enough to go ahead and get an MSFT offer.
Happy with the ๐Ÿค‘ but since when has human want known to have had a ceil?
Have interviews lined up with GS, Amazon, Google, Spotify, Uber, and Salesforce.
The last stint has really sucked the life out of me.
Don't start at MSFT until June, and I was hoping to take a month off, kick back and just do nothing with my life.
But then there's the possibility of clearing at least one of these tech interviews and making more ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ฐ
From the bottom of my heart, maybe except for Spotify and Amazon, I don't even want to work at the others.
Is it okay to just say No to every single of these companies, have the whole month for myself and do things I haven't had the chance of doing in the 7 years I've been running in this rat race for?

Current TC - โ‚ฌ115k
MSFT TC - โ‚ฌ165K
YoE - 7 (FEE)

Don't believe anyone except for Google & Amazon can better MSFT TC and have full faith in meself to bomb G.

Take a break. Microsoft will only add to your profile and youโ€™ll have the same companies ready to interview you an year later as well.

Could you please share your current TC and Microsoft TC, and YOE, and track(Iโ€™m assuming SDE)

Thatโ€™ll help people tell you how much delta can you get with competing offers at the other companies you mentioned.

Seeing your other replies, I think you also want to relax. The best suggestion is from they guy who suggested to hire a personal trainer and kick start your health journey.

Take a break and have fun. Burnout is no joke it can last months to permanently. Weโ€™re you working in eng at Vivino? They have so much potential but leadership just canโ€™t get it together.

  • My 2c; grind now since you are in the zone and have momentum. After you clear probation at your new gig, take some time off and relax.
