Let’s say I have 100 stocks of a Chinese company, the company gets delisted from US exchanges, but the company still exists and is profitable in China or other countries.
I don’t sell my stocks, what happens next?

I’ll lose all the money or I’ll still have same amount of stocks but it will be moved to another country where company is still listed?

    It depends.

Generally when companies get delisted you still own those shares, it’s just that you can’t sell them on a regular exchange. Sometimes you can look for buyers of your shares on the OTC market, but again, this varies based on circumstances.

  • A stock market is basically a common area where you can exchange stocks but on a much larger scale. Likely they are listed on the Chinese and/or Hong Kong exchanges. You'll have to request an asset transfer with your brokerage, if they don't have a presence in a foreign market you'll have to open a brokerage account there and do a brokerage to brokerage transfer. You'll have to call your brokerage for all the details.
