what’s the wlb like in Amazon? I am in the process of interviewing for BIE L5 role and was just curious.
Org?
WLB? You mean work life harmony, according to Lord Bezos?
Praise be unto him
Is it really that bad? All I hear is how horrible it is there lol
Retail and AWS yes
It’s fine if you’re in non-aws.
Not true. Devices is ass too
Huh? As in Alexa devices? I get in 10-10:30 and leave 6-6:30. Oncall one week every 2 months. Yeah it’s not cutting edge shit, but we write Java spring services hosted on Lambda.
Org?
How about Prime Video?
It's an Amazonian jungle out there.
I am interviewing for a BIE role, but had applied for a GIS Analyst/ Developer role. My goal is to become a GIS Data Engineer. GIS - Geographic Information System.
What org???
Hub locker something, not sure
I can't imagine that org is too bad for a BIE role. Still will depend on your team, and you can try to ask your recruiter if they know anything about what people think of your manager/team
Yeah I suppose I will ask that when I have the leverage of having cleared the interview
Horrendous
How do you know? Have you worked at Amazon?
Yes in AWS ...did great work But the worst 2 years of my life ....awful teammates awful management
