Do you work as efficient as possible. i find that i used to try to finish my work fast but it seem i just get rewarded with more work. not ideal as im trying to finish and go home

    Maybe then working fast is not the problem? Maybe you are updating the status as soon as you complete the task?
    You dont have to do that if you want to work at slower pace.
    I am also very fast at completing tasks. But I dont perform well if I dont take pauses in between. So I usually take a pause between completing my task and updating the status.

    Work fast and grow fast (tc, experience, level). If not, move on. Never compromise your work ethic.

  • I usually spend most of my morning working myself into a trance like state. Once in that state, my work is completed quickly. I am not rewarded with extra work as part of the process of leaving the trance involves a lot of vomiting and my managers tend to want to avoid engaging with me at that point.

  • Working fast is fine as long as you don’t make mistakes. I was always someone that wanted to get things done faster, but then I realized people would rather have it done correctly

  • Working fast does usually lead to just more work getting thrown at you unfortunately. But this should be reflected in your performance evaluation (as long as it was clearly documented like in status tracker what the expectation and timeline were, and that you exceeded it by completing tasks quickly and managing additional work assignments as a result of that).
