working at Roblox?
got reached by a recruiter today for a role at Roblox? How is the work culture there and can the company go 3x-4x?
I did a karat screen for them, then had 2 phone talks with managers, all that back in April. Recruiter reached out last week for next steps 😬
All kids grade 1-6 plays it. It you have kids, you’ll be the cool dad who works for Roblox.
My kids love Roblox. And now my 12-year-old is trying to make her own game. It’s a cool idea with a lot of potential, IMO. More potential than Minecraft.
Anyone else working there? How are your experiences guys? I'm about to have an interview for the infra team soon (SRE), how's the company, do you like it?
I joined a few years ago (had google and fb offers). Back then roblox office was sub par, when I came there for an interview I though I’d never work there. But when I had interview with the CEO I was totally stunned by their numbers. I ended up joining Roblox over FB/google. Now we mover to really nice office. I have no doubts that I made the right choice (also since I joined valuation went roughly 10x)
Wow risky move, how did their offer compare to the others, did they match or you purely bet on stock options?
A bunch of FANG rejects that make “games” not because they want to, but because they have to. Probably the most boring gaming company around. They peaked years ago, 3-4x growth is laughable.
Did you speak to them? They are entering China and Europe now
I interviewed there years ago and was disgusted.
