Hi, I am leaving banana factory and got three offers, I want to learn but don’t want to work like crazy(there were sometime where I had to work 997 in my current team) I like LinkedIn but I heard that getting to staff from senior takes very long time. I like the culture in LinkedIn and Zillow, for Robinhood I actually don’t know much about its culture(couldn’t tell from the interviewers) Robinhood: 185k for base, 370k over four years, 10% bonus up to 3x depending on individual and company performance, 50k signon(California) LinkedIn: senior SDE(L2)base is 185k, bonus is 10%, stock 350k, signon is 40k Also I want to get green card asap(Amazon didn’t even file my perm) does anyone know which one is the fastest? Thank you so much. yoe:3 updated my post with both final offers update: I accepted the offer from Robinhood😆
Pretty sure LinkedIn should be able to beat both the offers. If WLB is your priority, LinkedIn seems to be the easy pick here. There are some teams that provide a lot of scope for growth but I must acknowledge that going from senior to staff is no easy feat here.
I wouldn’t join RH. They have had tons of bad publicity this year, they lost very many customers because of their actions. Additionally, if the SEC ever decides to ban PFOF, a very large chunk of their business model would disappear overnight. Too risky, IMO. LinkedIn would be nice since it is owned by Microsoft. Have heard nothing but good things about their culture and wlb. They don’t really have any good competitors in the space either, so they should continue to find success. I wish I could join them! Zillow is actually interesting to me. I’m not familiar with their pay structure, but their product is really nice. Also, their stock rebounded incredibly well following the large March Covid dip last year. Their biggest competitor right now is RedFin…but I think Zillow is pulling ahead. And now they are trying to make realtors themselves obsolete by handling the buying/selling process too. I see a bright future for Zillow. I wish I had applied there during my own job search (I’m leaving amazon too!). Between Zillow and LinkedIn, I don’t think you can go wrong. LinkedIn is the bigger name if resume impact is important to you. But, personally, I’m more excited about Zillow’s business model and the many different paths their future could take.
Thank you! I worried about the business model for Robinhood too. The zillow team I applied is doing internal tool, so wasn’t very exciting for me. But I see your point. May I know where are you going? Also congratulations on leaving Amazon!
Still deciding on a couple offers, but most likely headed to Snap. Congrats to you as well! It’s an exciting feeling to be leaving amazon, right?
is your zillow offer for p3? if so congrats
Thank you, yes my level for zillow is P3
Congrats on the offer . Zillow should be able to file your GC after 3 months of joining . If 230k is for P4 it is very low. What is your breakdown like ?
My offer is for P3, 167k for base, 65k for signon over two years and 180k for stock over 4 years
Can you split Robinhood’s TC ?
175k for base, 10% bonus(up to 30% based on company and my performance) 30k for signon and 320k for RSU over four years
LI’s TC would be similar as well and they can match this.
If you look at RH as a gambling app, and then expect their revenue to follow, then they’ll do the best stock-wise.
You are saying rh’s stock will increase more compare to msft?
They're all great companies, congrats. I would go with Zillow because I'm a huge Real estate investment fan, and I think the company is doing excellent work in that field. For LinkedIn it would be hard for me to get excited about anything there. Robinhood is great for their mobile app engineering but they don't have a Monopoly like the other two companies
joined RH in the past year, happy to chat more in DM’s. And there is room for negotiation on your numbers
What is your yoe?

Robinhood stock is very volatile. Your tc will fluctuate a alot. Linkedin is the best among the 3
I see, I didn’t buy any of its stock so I didn’t notice that
