So did you counterbid?
Nope. Didn’t bid on this one. Saw it and the third “bedroom” was the den between the washer dryer and the rest of the house. The thing is on a hill so steep you feel like your car will shit itself I will likely move to a townhouse anyways, not house. House is too much work.
What is a "den"?
People are underestimating the price of homes in that area. It has great schools, great for commute (even for MS). Most of the inventory currently for sale is trash so when something half decent comes out it’s no surprise that bidding explodes.
Wow!!! That’s a shack
To buyers its super tempting when they see listings like this. They think they will miss the boat and make desperate over bids
Any suggestions for top zip codes in the east side?
Uh, did you see the stock market lately?
Live in a model x down by the river!
This was happening a ton a couple of years ago too, everything was going 100+ over ask
I bought a house 4 years ago in Kirkland and it took us over a year to get one. Everyone was bidding 100-150k over in cash, waiving everything. We got lucky and got a hoarder house off market for a great deal and cleaned it up/ renovated it.
Seems like it’s becoming more Bay Area where you are expected to bid 100-200k over asking.
I can understand for $1mm homes, but not for a $700k one
Sheer stupidity
