After several rounds of team matching, finally chose a team. Yesterday got HR's verbal offer for level 5 (senior) Software Engineer (back-end, fully remote):
base: $160k
RSU: $325k (4y vesting, 25%/y)
I'm in Boston area and YOE 4.5.
To me it sounds a great offer compare to my current TC (140k + 5%annual bonus). Still trying to negotiate for a bump to 170k for the base.
Base on employee reviews at here and Glassdoor etc., Square is pretty good and has a good reputation for its widely-used libraries in the engineering community. Just want to get some more opinions here from current SE employees, how's life recently at Square as a SE?
Update:
they bumped the numbers a little, and I guess I'll just accept it since I don't have a completing offer to argue for more:
Base: $165k
RSU: $360k (4y vesting, 25%/y)
sign-on: 15k

But yeah, it does seem like a good company. They’re a bit more flexible in terms of WFH than other places. It does have good reputation.
