How to ask my intern manager to see if he's fine with me approaching another team for a full-time offer.

I'm interning in the New York office and want to get a full-time offer, but would prefer working with another team. What do I say to my manager without ruining my chances (or pissing him off) of getting a full-time offer from even the current team.
