ByteDance has been hiring a lot recently (at least for the Singapore office). Some attribute this to the upcoming IPO.
How would that affect the current employees and the future employees?
Things I suspect can happen-
1. Slower promotions
2. Decreased Chinese language communication
3. Decreased work load (maybe)
4. Dilution of RSU
Whatโs your opinion?
PS: I have an offer from ByteDance. TC offered 78k SGD base + yearly bonus + no RSU for 0 yoe.

They are 2x to 4x growth companies. While VISA is questionable given how much competition they would face in the future. Profit margin is overstretched and revenue growth is declining. Yes it is hard to build merchant network in brick and mortar store, but it is way easy to scale in online business (lower the bar for competition in online space). As we know, people are moving to online more often after the pandemic and this will threat VISA revenue for sure.
Point no 4 should be fine.
