Been here less than a year (10 months). About to be given the pip (already in dev plan). L5 - 370k TC, base 160k. What should I expect for severance? Every day is taking a big mental toll on me. Dreading every meeting/mail/message. Is it worth staying for the severance? I feel like a loser for quitting without severance. Anybody who has actually done that and feels good about it?
Be there for severance. Theyโll ask you when you are getting PIPed. But, if you have strong intuition that youโll be, start looking for other opportunities. They wonโt give much time to stay back once youโve decided
Already have another offer. Much better compared, much better team but significantly lesser money
Stay and coast. Bank your paychecks and severance pay. Fuck the meetings. What will they do? PIP you? Take all the money you can take.
fk the meetings, goals, and just overall work. use the time to interview prep for free or chill
Everybody tells this to me. Is it that easy? How do you ignore everyone pinging you all the time? Most of my teammates donโt know what is happening. How do you not care about what they think/feel about you? The social aspect of continuing to being in such an environment is tremendous
Use covid exposure to get a few weeks off and paid.
What org/location? Why are you getting pip?
When it's time to PIP, someone must get PIP.
Chill and get severance. It's part of compensation for your trouble at Amazon. Call in sick or something and go on vacation, sign the Pivot doc on the last day. It should be 30k-40k
That's a good amount. Sign on and severance... lol.
How do they determine severance amount? How do you drag it out to squeeze every penny?
What's your role
That of a submissive male in BDSM
Ah yes, just like everyone else including Assy. Except its voluntary for Assy.
Get a 2x paying job outside. Don't worry about severance much. At best you'll get 20k. Nothing compared to what you can make.
PIPed in 10 months! Wow!! In AWS?
What happened to get PIPed in 10 months?
I wonder the same ๐
Was your performance objectively bad? What happens if you prove someone else did worse than you did?
Take every penny you can get, you earned it chief.
