So I got a google l3 swe offer for mountain view, I tried to get switched to NYC but unfortunately was unable to at the time. My manager said that I can apply for a relocation transfer in a couple months when offices start to open up and I will likely be able to transfer (Joining the ads team and the project area has quite the presence in both locations).

So I was wondering if I can just work at Google NYC until I can get a relocation transfer, is there any downside to this besides not having my own desk to work at? Will I still get all the google perks? Are there any tax/other legal complications with this?

PS. I'm Canadian, moving over from Toronto

      I'm in SEA, currently in NYC. Not planning to relocate. Just taking advantage of being able to experience living in different cities for short periods of time without paying taxes. Going elsewhere next month
