Ditched G and F offers to join RH cz their pay was better. Looks stupid now but i know many who did the same.
Who knows if this will again change in future.
Look at the role and your growth opportunity rather than brand name.
Also prestige can't be a metric as it's subjective. I really like and respect Uber eng (at least from a year ago) because of their open source contributions in observability space and superior tech blogs. But someone not familiar with it would not really value them as a company because of stock performance. Similar things can be said about the likes of Dropbox who've had good eng culture for quite some time.
