It’s probably because if they talk negatively they know their ipo shares will crumble. Think about it. If you had one million dollars worth of shares, I would be silent too

This makes sense, but there’s always someone (around 1000 employees) who squawks. Maybe they’ve explicitly mentioned not to discuss.

    • Can you imagine going on a roadshow if you’re the RH CEO to raise money for your roadmap? The fundamental promise of your product is compromised. The world saw how your company crumbled and became the subject of ire for your target demographic, a liability for your bosses, and a political target overnight. It’s going to take a miracle for them to bounce back from this. This is an awful situation for employees to be in. Silence or not, RH is looking extremely cornered right now.

Tbh, I thought Robinhood CEO would be a smart person. But listening to him yesterday, I felt like breaking an egg on his head. Didn’t seem like he had any idea of what he is being asked. I hate when people say - changing the world, forefront of technology, etc.

    • That Musk guy has set a difficult bar, but Vlad seemed downright dumb/crooked.

Company probably told them to stay quiet. If they say anything and it blows up on the news it could be really bad for the company and there may be consequences for the employee.

  • They are likely too depressed to go on Blind, according to this chart

  • With the SEC and other governmental investigations kicking off, I'm sure it's super strict right now re: talking about any of this externally. Leaking during investigations like these could result in some serious shit for the company and the individual. For example, the SEC has historically gone after individuals and publicizing various types of cases as a deterrent to others who might consider breaking financial rules. A company full of ivy leaguers are too smart to take a risk on something like that just to chit chat with randos on blind.
