Hey LinkedIn, can you please help me make make my news feed better?

I have over 1,000 connections. This is the breakdown of the first 20 cards in my news feed:

- 7 Posts from my connections (useful m, I can opt out from connections)

- 5 Likes from my connections (not useful, can't opt out of except at connection level)

- 4 Commented posts from my connections (not useful, only want to see this from top 3% or less of my connections, but can only opt out of my connections)

- 3 Promotions

- 1 relevant Job recommendations (a.k.a. LinkedIn self-promotion)

The way I see it, I have 7 useful cards and 13 non-useful cards, but I have no way of opting out of the 13 non-useful cards to improve my feed because I can only unfollow at the connection level.

Could someone help me out a little?

Many thanks, LinkedIn and lovely Blind community!

  • Use the "hide this post" action to signal posts that do not interest you. Also use the "Improve my feed" feature to select "influencers", institutions, and hashtags that interest you the most. These two things should help. We are working hard on improving the quality of the feed.

    • "Hide this post" gets rid of the post and "nudges" the algorithm to tailor the feed better to your liking. But I don't think you can completely filter out all likes and comments. Maybe in the future we can make that a feature. If you can send this feedback on LinkedIn with a hashtag #linkedin, it will get noticed and may get addressed. All the best.

I am considering deleting LinkedIn altogether because it's just a feed on the musings of that dickhole from the Daily Mail.

Also, @linkedin community - could you please build something to automatically detect and hide those annoying humblebrag posts that most of our feeds are filled with these days? You know the ones like “i love my team and they deserve the promotion, not me,...” types
