just got done with team matching and Grecruiter shared numbers today, i got FB numbers last week, e/t5
G: 200 620k 60k sign on
F: 195 500k 50k sign on
FB definitely felt low ball, google knew i had an offer from FB, G recruiter asked me for an email with numbers but i didnt have it, so i showed her the congrats email i got from FB over hangouts and that seemed to do the trick
google is gcp, not a huge fan but recruiter said i can easily transfer after a year
both initial offers before any negotiation, should i negotiate with google first, then share with FB, or share G numbers with FB, have a better offer then take it to G? does FB only match G or can they beat? only worked at one place since graduation and it was a returning intern offer so not sure how to negotiate
YoE: 5
TC: 350k post covid valuation and no bonus
@google @facebook

Top band for E5 is 205k/700k/100k. I got this offer. See if you can leverage Google's offer and ask for E5 top band.
Great job on achieving this with just 5 Yoe!
Ask FB showing G offer.
Then ask G showing revised 9ffer of fb and take G offer.
Excited but a little scared about the wlb... Airbnb was pretty chill, rarely had to do more than 50 hours a week in long stretches
Another thing to note is getting from L5 -> L6 in both companies. From the Blind posts for the same amount of effort the career progression in G seems slow compared to FB. My take would be go with FB where you have tons of opportunities for team selection, fast career trajectory if you are willing to put an effort and good rewards even if you canโt secure the top E5 offer.
