LinkedIn influencers have to be the cringiest BS I have ever seen. More cringe than Instagram, Reddit, Blind, and Tik Tok combined.
So much self congratulation, especially by recruiters. I copied this one straight from LinkedIn

I interviewed a candidate with a resume gap of 1 year.
His father was dying of cancer.
He wanted to be there for him.
So after moving back home, he and his family took care of his dad. Saw him through the last 18 months of his life. Cherished every moment.
His ashes were scattered at sea off the coast of Los Angeles.
The candidate told me he gets up at 5 a.m. every day to surf there.
To feel close to his dad.
I ended up hiring him.
Not despite his resume gap.
But because what he did during that year tells me more about his character—
Than any work experience could.

Wtf is the meant to be a poem? Shut the fuck up. We all know gaps are biased against by the filters. And no way in hell did that guy get an interview to tell his sob story without having some other stand out characteristic, which means he’s still being under leveled. That’s assuming the story even is real, which it’s not.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Dan Priece or so.
He has posts like “All the top CEOs pay lesser taxes than their employees”.
Turns out the CEOs lived off the basic salary and never sold any stock. I was like that has to be clickbait.
Then there’s another type of post :
“A candidate quit because his manager/leader/VP did not support WFH, Child Bonding or some reason. I think it’s time for managers and leaders to embrace what employees need today ….
Do you agree ?”
LinkedIn feeds at times are like commercials on TV
