San Diego doesn’t have a hot tech job market. Seattle’s job market for tech is better than that of SF. Why? Cuz we don’t have 2 top tech universities in our backyard. Demand is high. Supply low. Every employer is out here with camps trying to poach from someone next door. It’s a knife fight for recruiters. Job seeker’s market.✌️

Since the pandemic, the entire US is overpriced IMO. Seattle is just on the higher side of it.

  Who cares if it’s smaller? If you get a job and it pays well that’s all that matters. Not sure if your priority is to live with geeks but it’s not mine.

Sometime in the past bunch of people would leave Bay Area for Seattle because it was cheaper. I still see some leaving but don't see where it's cheaper. At least in Bay Area for $$$ we get sunshine.
