I think I’m about to get an offer at Samsara for a non-eng role and have seen pretty bad reviews online, even though the team I met seems really nice!
Im currently at a startup working extremely hard for people who treat me like shit lol so im not sure if Samsara could be worse than that.
So two questions:
Is it as bad as the reviews say? Is it a company that will look good on my resume to eventually help me go to FAANG/better companies?
Thanks so much in advance - i really appreciate any feedback

If you have other options, I’d avoid Samsara. Too far into funding rounds for your equity to be worth anything, so the upside potential has passed. Why deal with the sub-market salary, and all that stuff people complain about in the reviews?! You’ve been warned.
Not sure if you are aware what is an average growth of most round A, round B startups or the scale of that growth? I am guessing you will be surprised but leave the investigation to you.
Also, engs have recently received decent comp updates so salaries are competitive even without a pretty obvious and still multiple x upside.
As for getting into FAANG later on, I think it you'd be fine. At least in my experience, recruiters from those companies reach out pretty often.
