Is this weird for me to do so?

Nov 19, 2020 11 Comments

I interviewed a company and got rejected. I couldn't figure out what went wrong and they couldn't provide any feedback. So I messaged one of the interviewers through LinkedIn and asked him what area I shall improve. Is this appropriate? Hope he wouldn't find me as creepy.

It's like you tried to go on a date with a girl and spoke to her friends and after the girl ghosted you, you try to creep on her friend and ask her what went wrong.

It's of no use and will come off as super weird.

I have gotten these requests, and I was instructed to never answer them for liability reasons or whatever

It sucks because I want to provide constructive feedback

  • I conduct interviews. We are not allowed to give any feedback. Any questions are redirected to the recruiter

I agree with don’t expect a reply. If I interviewed you and you messaged me on LinkedIn for feedback. I would not reply. It’s a liability to the company and my job security.
