Does anyone use Personal Capital wealth management?

They charge 0.89% a year and have been selling me aggressively. They match or slightly exceed major indices / index funds, and also claim tax benefits and better diversification in the event of a (incoming) downturn. Their major argument is that simple index fund investing has done great through the bull market but won’t be so hot during a downturn.
Does anyone here use them? If so, for how long? Has it been worth it?

in bear markets.
Thanks for the discussion!
