4 years tenure at Uber (keeping refresher aside as you do not have details)
4 * 193 + 800 + 65 = ~1665
At Confluent (. not considering refresh and assuming salary does not change)
4 * 210 + 630 + 35 * 4 = ~1610
so every year around ~15k more. Now you decide to work Vs money. Also, uber stock Vs confluent, etc as the majority of uber money comes from stock.
Note: you should at least target for 4 years in any company (at least while joining) also refresher is very subjective and Confluent is aggressive so if you perform well you should get equally good.
confluent: 4*1.12*210+630 = 1570
uber: 4*193 + 800 + 65 + 35*4 = 1770
but yeah, I got your point, it might not be much different 4 years down
Confluent is a bit of unknown on the stock side of things, but the founders seem to have better integrity
