Hello all,
I am going through H1B transfer with Microsoft however there is never 100 percent chance of approval anywhere and even with MSFT there is chance of denial/rejection.
I have not brought up my concerns with HM or recruiter but in case my petition is denied, is there a backup or offer will be rescinded? I know joining on receipt is risky but I was thinking if I am employed, maybe HM can help more? I know there is office in Vancouver, Canada but IDK how transfer works.
TC: 89K
MSFT TC: 160K

UPDATE: H1B transfer approved

If USCIS denies the request, would your hiring manager be willing to support the case i.e., leave the position open and talk to immigration, submit additional documentation if needed? In some instances you’ll have to go to your home country for visa stamping upon Denial and reapplication.
Don’t jeopardize your immigration status.
