Interview question

I was asked this question in one of the phone screen. I could do it, I find it hard to solve these type of questions which doesn’t fit under a good data structure. How do you guys prep for such questions?

“Given 6 integers ranging from 0 to 9, return the earliest time in 24 hour format”
