Better Mortgage has an offer right now for AMEX statement credits on AMEX credit cards for $2000 and $6000 on conforming and jumbo loan respectively.
I don't have a AMEX card and am beginning to shop for mortgages to purchase. Is it worth it to get an AMEX card right before applying? I know it has a relatively low impact on my credit score, but I think my credit score is hovering right around 760. Does combining credit pulls for non-home inquiries in the 14-day window still work?

One benefit of the hard credit pull for the AMEX will be that you know your scores and those that look a little deficient you can request the report and see if there are items/mistakes that you can challenge to help ensure you stay above that 760 threshold.
