Mathworks job security

Not due to budget issues ever, sometimes due to lack of perf and that can also easily take 1-2 yrs. You can easily survive there for 1-2 yrs without doing much but I won't recommend that since it's such a good company (I was employed with them for 9+ yrs)

MW is an amazing place to be. Engineering driven and let's one take complete ownership. Very collaborative and open environment. If they ask one to leave it will be only due to performance reasons. MW has enough resources and jurisprudence to not let projects die due to lack of budget. They are slow but firm footed.
