I have 2 offers for new grad SDE/SWE

Amazon (Seattle):

Base: 116k

Stock: 86k/4 years (5/15/40/40)

Bonus: 27k 1st year/23k 2nd year

TC: 147k 1st year, 151k after

Hubspot (Remote):

Base: 115k

Stock: 40k/4 years (25/25/25/25)

Bonus: 10k

TC: 135 1st year, 125k after

I am intrigued by Hubspots remote work and better WLB, but Amazon pays more and has better learning/name recognition. If you vote please comment your reasons!

As a former Entry level SWE at amazon turned SWE at hubspot, I would strongly suggest Hubspot. My peers who started at the same time as me are much further along in their careers. You can grow your skills and finances much quicker at Hubspot.

What exactly do you mean by "growing your finances"? Do you mean your peers at hubspot had a higher tc after several years at hubspot vs you with the initial year/years at amazon?

For the salary difference, I'd go with Hubspot. Honestly, it's such a great company in terms of culture and being remote (pre/post covid) is always amazing. I don't ever want to go back to an office. The only negative I can see is your resume will be "more appealing" with Amazon.

Form what I've heard, Hubspot WLB is much better than Amazon, but Amazon will obviously pay more. It's a trade-off only you can really answer

Base can go to 125k for Amzn and RSUs can go up to 100k. You have a competing offer try to negotiate as much as possible

I would value wlb especially if you can work remote in a low cost of living area. That being said if you are still young and don't mind a skewed Wlb now is time to make some money πŸ’°.
