24 vegetarian
Been working since last 4 years. 8-10 hours minimum sitting in front of PC. Has impacted by physical health.
In lockdown need not to mention things become worse. Gained 3-4 kgs. Current weight touching 68. Weight apart body doesn't even have much energy. Feeling lazy entire day.
29th Jan finally made payment for one gym after rejecting two other gyms post trial. Trainer started with analysing my strength and labelled it very weak. Chest exercise with even 3kg weight was a task for me. According to trainer he can't even go below that as 3kg was the minimum.
Then he made me realised that my body has very less strength. Need not to worry about fat. First will increase strength and then will reduce fat. Being vegetarian u don't have much options except Paneer.
After 10 days of consistency can do 15 repetition 4 set for 5kg of same chest exercise.
It's a journey of patience and for sure rewarding too in terms of physical and mental fitness. Looking forward to continue.

Horse Gram has the highest protein and you can find it's recipes online.
Drink good amount of milk as well and add some whey protein on alternate days. My dietician asked me to take it during the night. Asked me to replace Rice with Roti as much as possible but not completely though and replace white rice with brown rice. Also asked me to make the 3 meals I generally have into 6 slightly lighter meals including the above things.
I strictly followed this for 3-4 months with 5-6 cheat days here and there and I could see 8kgs of just muscle mass gain with exercising 5 days a week. I had a personal trainer which was quite a help in the initial few days.
Edit: Forgot to mention, Lentils are a good source as well. If you are an Indian, you already know Dal which is a good source of protein. Take different varieties of it.
Black Gram or Urad dal with which you can make Dosa is a good source too.
Rajma or Kidney beans are also a great sources. Rajma with brown rice is a known Indian recipe.
You can add black beans in various recipes as well.
Then there's soya chunks with massive protein content which is used in Indian dishes.
There are enough sources of protein for vegetarians. People are just not aware in general.
Hopefully, I will succeed this year
