Intel folks, how frustrated are you with INTC stock?

Nov 23, 2021 35 Comments

For those who have worked at Intel for several years, are you frustrated with the stock? I personally own it in my portfolio and it’s starting to piss me off. I have owned it for 2 years and it’s literally not moving. I wonder how annoyed I would be if I worked there. Sorry I am not trying to offend y’all but I genuinely want to know how you deal with this.

Why would it move? Maybe they should get intel moving again. Their CPU sucks. Use more power than expected. Low performance. Their supposedly great move in GPU is disappointing as f. Intel is doing nothing interesting for the past 5 years. Servers and cloud will be all custom ARM soon. Apple is all ARM. I’d short them unless they wake the fuck up and fast…

Yes ARM literally has less than 10% and I am being super generous with 10%... Even Nvidia doesn't think they are getting ARM...Lol if u r so happy with Amazon why are you even on a INTC thread claiming unreleased gpus have poor performance ...Seems pretty desperate ... I am also bored so just having fun ...I really don't care abt any multinational corporation since they don't give a shit abt anything except profits...

Lots of negativity from ‘amazon’ here. Intel is here to stay and will come back stronger. This competition is just good for the industry. I work at apple now but will never ever underestimate intel potential. I wish you and amazon the best.

You shouldn’t have bought it. At our internally blind group for intel, this question is asked regularly and most of us are in agreement that the stock is shit.

We get employee stock purchase program and the smart ones do something called quick sale wherein the stocks are sold at certain $$z We than take this money and invest in other stocks.

Every quarter intels stocks have ranked by 10%. Even the ceo acknowledged that there will be hit on stocks till 2024.

You might want to sell your intel stocks soon. But make sure to sell it BEFORE intel announces its earning.

@covidtan you want to look up SEMATECH the CHIP act of 1990s and it has been reviewed to mixed results, so I am holding back on how much CHIPS helps Intel (pun unintended)

The stock will go up if the chips act passes since the market will be happy if Intel gets a few billions but the real growth will be from gfx and ai...

I will tell you, market just hates Intel. There is not much logic.

If you sit down and go by the book, AMD valuation makes no sense.

Intel has CPU, GPU, Server, Autonomous Vehicle (mobileeye), FPGA, silicon photonics, Habana labs, Quantum computing, Optane memory and on top of that it has Its own fabs which can manufacture all of these products. No one else comes even close.
Intel screwed the pooch with innovation for few years and at the same time AMD was fighting for its life and ended up making excellent products.

Intel is also important for US national security.
All of these things should have helped Intel rise along with all the companies in last 2 years.

If you want to keep holding, wait for GPU and Sapphire rapids and be patient till 2025.

Otherwise sell it all and get some peace of mind.

Pat has started paying much better recently. Hope that they are able to deliver as well.

Intel plan to "pass" Tsm in about 5 years I think. The US wants to switch for security reasons. Maybe if they're able to pass tsm after that and they get some government contracts it'll go up. That's my wild guess lol.
