I'm L4 at Amazon, I was terrified to join when I got the offer because of the horrible stories here about wlb and pip. I actually love working there I've learned ton already, manager is awesome and listening, we get daily anonymous survey and manager takes it very seriously to improve. I have great wlb and we didn't have any one put on pip for the longest even tho we have low a performer in the team. Manager is helping me for the next promotion already and put me on a project to drive.
Maybe they're trying to improve and fix their reputation? Or it's just a good manager? Anyone in Amazon having positive experience or just ππ?
Cons:
- Kinda "Introvert" team, don't talk about anything non work related
- bad vesting schedule
- frugality πππ

And most of the reasons for bullying Amazon (PIP, WLB, π, 5/15/40/40) came from Amazon employees too.
It is ok while you are green.
Once you realize what you are capable of and outgrow your team and SDM, you'll feel "stuck", under appreciated and under compensated for the value you bring in to the team.
So enjoy while it lasts. You are in the honeymoon phase
