I am in the middle of interviewing about to start all the onsites. However I got a notice from our attorney my pd is current and is eligible for filing i485. I also started my eb2 downgrade a month ago, still haven’t received notice. Overall I will need to wait for at least 6 months to be able to switch job without losing my greencard progress. Meanwhile, I feel my growth is getting slower due to lack of projects and team being stable and mature. Currently L4, looking to promote maybe in 1-2 years, my manager told me I’m definitely SEE on my ladder but not there yet in terms of influence on others, and my cliff will not come till next year, I do like people here but also not foreseeing many mentorship opportunities.
I just feel desperate to leave right now given I’ve been putting a lot of efforts in preparing and having a high chance of acing the interviews + L+1 bump and larger scope better growth, I don’t care too much about my greencard being delay by a year or so. Curious anyone with similar dilemma before and what’s the best move for me.
