Many of us see corporate malfeasance or unethical behavior in the workplace, but turn a blind eye to it because we have to feed our family and don't want to get into trouble as a snitch, we think every company is the same, we think that nothing will happen even if we voice our concerns, etc. That makes us cowards. Are you one? There is no shame in admitting you are a coward. Also, there are only very few brave people, so I'd be surprised if I see a lot of "No"s as answers.

I literally work at a shit company because most large tech companies do things I donโ€™t support. Cisco has done some sketchy shit but mostly ethical

Youโ€™re totally right Amazon. There is never going to be a perfect job. Which is why apples โ€œmostly ethicalโ€ comment is funny. Every company is somewhere on the spectrum of completely unethical to completely ethical, and we should ask ourselves where our current employers and our potential employers (even in different fields) lay on this spectrum.

In my first job, my boss (director level) once asked me to secretly make a design change to fix a huge fuckup on our part without letting upper management or the customer know. This was one of many fuckups our company had made with they same customer and they had to re-qualify every design change. I did so, and the commit message was โ€˜Code cleanupโ€™ ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I haven't seen any significant ethics violation but if I did, I'd probably not do anything about it. Unless I'm moving to another company I guess lol

This puts into perspective why most of our politicians are spineless cowards..

No I don't think I'm alone by any means. Respect to Edward Snowden for his courage. We don't even have the balls to antagonize a private company.

I think it depends, company culture is one important factor, and also your own network in the company. Considering all this before picking a fight. Keep in mind that there is always a solution to change team/company and write a review on Blind/Glassdoor, which is not bad at all.
