Several recruiters approaching me for same role (is this normal?)

Hi all! Has anyone been approached by multiple recruiters for the same job? Since yesterday, I’ve had 5 recruiters contact me for the same position. I spoke with one, and he couldn’t clearly answer my questions about the role. He just said they need to fill this role very fast. So I’m assuming the other 4 recruiters are casting a wide net to get someone hired asap. Looking over the position description is also somewhat vague to me (I’ve pasted below). It does not mention if Python is even needed. And it states setting up dashboards and pulling data from various systems, emails/outlook. Pulling data from emails just sounds highly unorganized to me. I finished my data science/Python bootcamp and have struggled finding a job. I’m looking for a good role to get experience. But work/life balance is extremely important to me as I also care for my mom with stage 4 cancer. I was wondering if I could get advice on how to proceed. Does this raise any red flags? I’ve never worked with recruiters before, so I’m not sure if this is common practice. TIA! **************************** Job description: We have a 5 month contract position for a Healthcare Data Analyst to work patient data and reporting for COVID State and Federal requirements. This is contract role. Once a company opens a contract role, the info is shared with all the consulting/staffing firms. Then every firm try their best to find someone for the role, otherwise they lose the contract.
